Jim “Moose” Brown is a songwriter/record producer/session musician based in Nashville, Tennessee.

As a songwriter, Moose won the Grammy award for Best Country Song for co-writing "It's Five O'clock Somewhere”, and co-wrote the top 10 hit for Darryl Worley “If Something Should Happen”. Moose recently co-wrote and produced four songs in the Amazon Prime series “The Gray House”, which was executive produced by Kevin Costner and Morgan Freeman.

As a record producer, Moose co-produced Daryl Worley’s top 10 single "Sounds Like Life To Me” as well as the critically acclaimed album by Jamey Johnson "That Lonesome Song" which features the ACM and CMA Song of the Year "In Color". The Platinum selling album was nominated at the Grammys, ACMs and CMAs for Album of the Year.

As a session player, Moose won the Academy of Country Music award for “Piano/Keyboard Player Of The Year” in 2015, 2017, and 2023. He has played on over 50 #1 singles as well several movie soundtracks.

Jim "Moose" Brown was inducted into the Arkansas Entertainer's. Hall of Fame (2010) and The Michigan Country Music Hall of fame (2024).
